One of the things I am most passionate about is encouraging and building up the next generation of female athletes. I want to pay forward what I have learned from those who have generously shared their time and knowledge with me! This includes a support network of mentors, sports psychologists, coaches and therapists. In 2016, I started a camp for high school girls called "Kickin with Katie".

As an athlete, you constantly work to reframe challenges- whether they be mental, physical or even spiritual. Gaining a new perspective, or changing the way you look at something is a skill that is developed over time! The obstacles I’ve encountered forced me to grow, be creative and push the limits of what I thought I was capable of doing. We are in an unprecedented time in history- and it’s a perfect time to practice this! Evaluating and learning new ways to deal with what’s presented isn't just a skill needed in sport, it's a valuable life skill.

These are the people who have supported me, and helped me overcome challenges with grace and strength! Planning this camp is the midst of COVID sparked creativity and led to unique opportunities. Now I can gather my mentors from around the US and campers can glean their pearls of wisdom as well:)

**Due to COVID-19, 2020's Sports Leadership Camp will be held virtually this year the week of August 3-6th. More details below**
