I raced for the first time in awhile at PNTF's this morning at Lower Woodland Park, on a hilly 6k cross country course that consisted of 3 x 2k loops. I'm very excited to be racing for Club Northwest, next race with them will be in Lexington, Kentucky on December 8th! It was nice to put racing flats on (I wore the new PureDrift because portions of the course were cement, they worked well and felt great) a get a solid racing effort in!

Hi Katie, hello from Germany! I have just discovered your blog and I am excited to find practical ideas that might apply to the "ambitious recreational runner" as well along with snapshots from the life of an elite athlete. I would be very happy to find more information on nutrition as I am very curious about how professional athletes fuel - it must be challenging to eat enough to support the training load yet to maintain competition weight! I´d love to learn some more practical advice. Good luck for the cross-country-season!
